Introduction to Project Management

To help your project run smoothly, it can be useful to employ a Contract Administrator or an Employer’s agent to act on your behalf in all contractual matters.

From the tendering of the building works and selection of the building contractor all the way through to completion of your project.

We have gained the experience to administer contracts of any size with our building project management services.

Our experienced team can assess your building project and advise the most appropriate form of contract to protect your interests.

We can act as your employer’s agent in design and build contracts, ensuring that the building contractor produces your requirements and specifications.

We can also act as Contract Administrators, and our service incorporates the following:

•    Preparing and coordinating the contract documents
•    Monitoring the works throughout the construction phase
•    Issuing Contract Instructions for any additional works or changes to the contract
•    Organising and chairing site meetings and preparing and distributing meeting minutes
•    Certifying the works and issuing regular Certificates of Payment
•    Issuing various certifications, i.e. Extension of Time, Practical Completion, Final Accounts

Post-completion services include:

•    Monitoring during the defects liability period and preparing a schedule of any outstanding defects upon expiry of the defects liability period
•    Agreeing the final valuation and reviewing the contract retention monies (if applicable).

From our initial involvement to completion of the project, we liaise with all parties involved, e.g. contractor, structural engineer, loss adjuster, funder, client, etc., to ensure a satisfactory outcome for the project.
